Brief update on our main character, Gadanthara.

We recently finished the shading and textures of this unusual character. And here are the latest images and a spin test that we produced

Gadanthara is the main character’s name of our short film, for now titled “Detail Library”, because it is the short that started the whole idea of the project. Gadanthara is a worker of Detail Library, an institution that cares for and houses all the details of the World, he is a posters paster and really loves what he does.

This character has a peculiar personality and also an anatomy different from the usual, having everything that a human has, except for: mouth, nose, ears, neck… And besides that, he uses a yellow raincoat which consists on three layers of clothing:
An “overcoat” with a “poncho” on and a hood. We also have buttons / loops and a “belt” to tie it all. Talking about accessories, it also has a “roll” and a “bucket” used to paste the posters.

All this have to be a rig.
Relatively smooth to pose and animate.
Done without any kind of simulations (I tested it and it is very problematic).
